New Boruto Manga Coming In Spring 2016 + One Shot Boruto Manga By Kishimoto

It has finally been announced, the countdown has finished and Masashi Kishimoto has announced on stage at Jump Festa 2016 that Boruto WILL CONTINUE!!!

Kishimoto will be writing a one-shot manga for Boruto (like he did in the past) in Spring 2016.

Viz has also confirmed that a monthly manga chapter for Boruto will be launching in Spring 2016, written by Ukyō Kodachi, drawn by Mikio Ikemoto and supervised by Masashi Kishimoto. This will be in Viz Media’s digital weekly shonen jump magazine and will be in English (as well as in Japanese).

Kishimoto ended his main Naruto manga after 15 years of serialization last November. He then wrote the Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring one-volume sequel manga, and also worked on the Boruto Naruto the Movie film sequel. A series of novels continued the story after the manga’s end.

So who is Ukyō Kodachi?

Ukyō Kodachi wrote Gaara Hiden and helped write Boruto Naruto The Movie.
So who is Mikio Ikemoto?

Mikio Ikemoto wrote the two-chapter “COSMOS” short manga for Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997 and 1999.

This is all exciting news, also Itachi Shinden had an announcement that it will get its own anime adaptation!

A very exciting day, with more news to come so stay tuned as Jump Festa is not over yet!
