Top 5 sacrifices in the history of Dragon Ball

We know one thing that there are Dragon balls in Dragon Ball. But there are few Saddest and heart breaking deaths in Dragon Ball that left a big impact on us. And here goes out Top 5 list.

5. Piccolo sacrifices himself to save Gohan

We all know, that during the Saiyan Saga Piccolo sacrificed himself to save Gohan from Nappa’s Bomber DX attack, which ultimately resulted in his death. Surely one of the greatest sacrifice’s in DBZ history.

Not to mention his second sacrifice to save Gohan, In recent episode of Dragon Ball Super, Piccolo sacrificed his life in order to save Gohan! This was really heart breaking.

 4. Destruction of Android 16

Though I wouldn’t call it a sacrifice exactly, it surely was one of the turning points in the Cell Saga.

If it wouldn’t had happened, there could’ve been a possibility that Gohan would never turn SSJ2. Also, before this incident happened, Android 16 did try to self destruct in order to kill Cell and bring peace.

The very thought of it makes him get position four on this list.

3. Future Gohan sacrifices his left arm and his life to save Future Trunks 

One of the most lovable characters, Future Gohan lost his left arm in order to save Future Trunks from a bombing attack from Androids 17 and 18.

Later, it was shown that even though Future Trunks wanted to fight against the evil androids Future 

Gohan doesn’t let him do so as Trunks wasn’t strong enough and in the process looses his life fighting solo with the androids.

One of my most favourite moments in DBZ history.

2. Goku saves others by taking Cell’s self destructive attack on himself

This moment changed it all. It actually showed Goku’s true character and selflessness. His love for everyone was completely pure. Another favourite moment of DBZ.

I still feel bad for King Kai, Bubbles and Gregory, poor souls got sacrificed for nothing.

1. Majin Vegeta’s Sacrifice.

The biggest one. The way he blew himself up to kill Buu and to protect the others, he gained everyone’s respect that day. Vegeta, I salute you.
